CERTIFICATE OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE
General Competence
Install, maintain and repair low-voltage electrical installations falling within the scope of the Low-Voltage Electrical Regulations, applying the techniques and procedures required in each case, meeting quality standards, working safely and complying with current regulations.

Entry requirements
You must meet one of the following requirements:
- Hold an ESO qualification or equivalent for employment or academic purposes. Equivalences of qualifications and courses from different education systems. List of countries with equivalence tables (Where foreign qualifications do not correspond to those listed in the tables due to changes in the foreign education system, the equivalence recognised by the relevant foreign country will be taken into account, alongside those listed in the table).
- Hold a Certificate of Professional Competence at the same level as the training module(s) and/or the Certificate of Professional Competence to which you wish to apply.
- Hold a Level 1 Vocational Certificate in the same field and professional area.
- Meet the academic entry requirements for intermediate-level vocational training programmes or have passed the relevant entrance examinations set by the education authorities.
- Have passed the university entrance exam for applicants aged 25 or over and/or 45 or over.
- Possess the necessary key competences, as set out in Annex IV of Royal Decree 34, to successfully complete the relevant training for the Certificate of Professional Competence. This requirement may be demonstrated in one of the following ways:
- Pass a written test of key skills in mathematics and Spanish, set by the relevant employment authority (for the 2018/2020 intake, this will be prepared by the training centres or organisations). For those programmes that include a foreign language module, proof of proficiency in communication in the relevant foreign language at the appropriate level will be required.
- Provide evidence of relevant work experience and/or training as set out in Royal Decree 1224/2009 of 17 July, which regulates the procedure for the recognition of experience (3 years, comprising a minimum of 2,000 hours worked over the last 10 years).
- Hold at least one unit of competence recognised by the experience recognition scheme within the same field and professional area, at a level equal to or higher than that of the course you wish to undertake.
